Class: 4 – 5-year-olds
The 4–5-year-olds class at The Play Patch Nursery School is a purposeful and enriching environment that supports children as they prepare for the transition to formal schooling. At this age, children are confident, curious, and eager to learn, and the programme is designed to build essential school-readiness skills in a fun, engaging way.
Through structured, play-based learning, children develop early literacy and numeracy skills, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication. Emphasis is placed on independence, self-confidence, and responsibility, encouraging children to manage routines, make choices, and work collaboratively with peers.
Educators create a supportive classroom where children are encouraged to think critically, ask questions, and express their ideas. Activities include storytelling, creative arts, music, movement, and outdoor play, all carefully planned to support holistic development. The 4–5-year-olds class lays strong foundations for a smooth, confident start to primary school.
